Waxflower

Waxflower, (proper name: Chamelaucium), is a genus of the Myrtaceae family and is native to Western Australia. Commonly known as the waxplant and wax flower – due to the waxy feel to the petals.

In floristry, waxflower was historically mainly used as a filler flower. That has now changed and this dainty flower with its delicate blooms and luminescent buds is back in fashion again. It is perfect for adding a vintage touch to floral arrangements and inclusion in wedding flowers adding it to buttonholes, table arrangements and a very pretty additon to bouquets. It is available in shades of pink, violet and white.
