Ranunculus
Ranunculus are a genus of the Ranunculaceae family, which includes flowers like buttercups, spearworts and water crowfoot. The name is from the Latin word 'rana' for frog, a reference to the fact that many wild species are found in wet areas.
For sheer petal count, it’s hard to top the ranunculus with their small, showy, bowl-shaped flowers, resembling small peonies. Brilliantly coloured blooms on straight stems with a long vase life, they are available in shades including cerise, orange, purple, yellow, pink, red and white.
