Viburnum

The viburnum or snowball comes from a bush that belongs to the group, ‘early-blooming bushes’ and is a genus of the Caprifoliaceae family.

Worth its weight in gold as a cut flower, viburnum is prized among florists for for adding wonderful texture to floral design. Snowballs are especially suitable for mixed bouquets. They’re a favorite for weddings and church arrangements and look particularly beautiful when combined with lilac. Fresh white flowers with charming light green accents and an unforgettable textured bloom often mistaken for a miniature hydrangea. An elegant flower that is sure to turn heads when placed in any wedding flower arrangement, bouquet, or centerpiece.

If leaves are present, strip any that will be below the water line. Woody stems should be cut at an angle, removing at least 1 inch of stem. Do not mash or smash stem ends; doing so damages the vascular system and inhibits water uptake. Fill containers with fresh water, add flower food and leave to condition before using.
